Method 1 : Using the System Properties

  • Right click on “My Computer,” choose “Properties” from that menu.
  • Click on “Advanced tab,”
  • Click the “Error Reporting” button.
  • Check the “Disable error reporting” box. You may choose to uncheck the the box below it, “But notify me when an error occurs,” if desired.

Method 2: Use the System Configuration Utility to disable the Dumprep.exe tool

  • Click Start, click Run, type msconfig in the Open box, and then click OK.
  • Click the Startup tab.
  • Click to clear the dumprep 0 -k or dumprep 0 -u check box, and then click OK.
  • Restart the computer.

Method 3: Use Registry Editor to remove the Dumprep.exe entry

  • Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  • Locate and then click the following registry key:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
  • In the right pane, click Dumprep, and then press DELETE.
  • Restart the computer
